RNC I Stayed up to Watch

Why does this woman intrigue me?

I stayed up last night just to watch her speak. Some of the reasons why I could cross party lines would be her. She is young, determined, a mom, beautiful, and seems like she has normal family issues that she is okay talking about. I will have to read more and educate myself, but so far I really like what I see and even heard.

I love her, I think McCain picked the best running mate b/c she is REAL

What is a matter with you?! I'm going to tell Dad what you wrote here.

She's likeable and interesting but I couldn't disagree more with her policies. And she needs to stop using the "bridge to nowhere" speech because it's factually incorrect!

I did see the post on Yahoo this morning about fact vs fiction. I still like her though. You know me...I love to make Dad crazy when it comes to politics.

Here's the thing...I respect her as a woman, as a mother, as a professional. Her career is amazing, and her speech was pretty darn good as well.
I disagree with the Rep. on just about everything. I can't believe McCain won't support a bill for equal pay (but I'm getting ahead of myself).
My point is, just because you like or respect someone, doesn't mean they are qualified to be the President (McCain is included in this statement).
Most folks said they voted for Bush because they would like to have a beer with him...that hasn't really worked out for us;) We the voters need to dig past the popularity contest of Obama and Palin, and get to the issues...
Sorry for writing so much:)

I vote on issues alone and I disagree with Obama on just about every issue. He is soooo incredibly left it is scary. I disagree with McCain on certain issues but not a ton. I hate politics though. I just feel like no matter who you vote for they never turn out to be who they make themselves out to be. I know he and Clinton make nicey-nicey on stage in front of everyone but they can't agree on anything. If people in his own party can't agree how is he going to bring dems and reps together to make any decisions. Whatever.
I can't stand politics.

Anyway, I live in between Milwaukee and Appleton. The farmer's market was at Fountain Park. Is that near you?

Oh. When I said "he and Clinton" I meant Obama.
Sorry.

Kathryn~ It is near a fountain, but it is not called that park. I live in the southeastern corner of the state~ Kenosha. So I guess we are close but not in the same city.

Actually I live about and hour and a quarter from you. :)

I can't really respond like I would like to b/c you are my sister, but it sounds pretty shallow! young/mom/pretty? for real?
How about McCain? old/cancer survivor/dad/hot wife ...doesn't seem like reasons to vote for someone to lead our country.

Kudos to her speech writer!!

Kudos to ALL the speech writers. All politicians have them, but it seems everyone in the media likes to talk about Palin's.

I do agree that we should vote based on the issues.

No candidate is perfect, so many times I find myself choosing "the lesser of two evils."

This time around I'm very concerned about taxes and national security. I believe in less government.

Based on that, I'm voting McCain/Palin.
