One is Not Enough

Last week my wedding ring had to be taken off. Not because of anything other than it is really bad shape and needs major repairs. We went looking for a new setting and even an upgrade...yikes!! I think I will go for the repair for now and a new one another time. ( Maybe for our 15 is this year)

Anyways, I went out Saturday night. So, we go out and we are at this bar...hubby is downstairs with a group of people and I venture upstairs to get a drink. I was up there only a matter of a few minutes and WHAM!! I was hit on with the most ridiculous pick up lines EVER!!!

"Are you a chiropractor? My back could use some cracking." Or "You must be a firefighter because I really need to be rescued. " The last one was something about Botox...I didn't even let the idiot finish and I was gone.

My friends seem to think I was hit on because of the fact that I don't have a ring on. I almost bought a ridiculous ring at Kohl's for $5.00 just to wear until mine comes back.

A Brand New Journey

For weeks now we have been going back and forth about relocating. It finally came to a head last weekend when I just couldn't ignore this issue anymore.

After ALOT of tears and serious deliberation, we finally made the decision. My hubby accepted the position and we will be relocating to the Twin Cities area of MN.

I still can't believe it. It just doesn't seem real. I have lived in SE Wisconsin all of my life. I am trying to be positve and look at this like an adventure. Now I have to find a job. I have to do all of this networking and find a job. I've had my teaching job at the same school for 16 years!! I am a little freaked out.

My hubby is going to go ahead and start this journey on his own. That is the part that is going to suck the most....

The kids and I will stay here until the end of the school year and then start our new adventure.

The kids smiled when I said we can go to the Mall of America! :)

I've ignored my own blog again for weeks and yours too. I will get caught up again. I just had to sort all of this out.

Obsessed or What?

I am hooked on this author. I can't get enough. My husband will attest to that. I've ignored my family for the love of these books.

Love the One You're With and Something Borrowed. Each read in one day. I couldn't put it down. I ignored my family as we headed up to Minnesota to check out the area just in case we decide that is where we want to live. I ignored everyone this past weekend to read as well.

I guess it is back to reality tomorrow when I head back into the classroom and instead of reading my new fav author, I will be back reading Magic Tree House and the adventures of Jack and Annie. Instead of the adventures of Dex, Rachel, and Darcy.
I am so going to get the next book in that series called Something Blue. So I guess my family will be ignored next weekend too.

I have a feeling it will be a rough morning as we all head back to our normal routines.

Happy 2010!

I can't believe it has been over 2 weeks since I've blogged. I've tried to keep up with everyone else's, but I have had so much on my mind that needless to say a LOT has been happening in our home.

Christmas 2009 was a great one. We celebrated with family and friends.

Followed by days of stress thinking about our family's future. Do we move or not.

Just as we thought we made our decision more time was put upon us to think about it all over again.

We cried, laughed, drank lots of wine, and even started writing the pros/cons. Kids were crying, family was crying, friends were crying. But we just can't make up our mind.

I wonder if I just take the plunge and do it, that it will be easier. (I was suppose to plunge today in the frigid waters of Lake Michigan, but I couldn't bring myself to do it when the temps are in the teens and the windchill even colder. )

The decision will be made and whatever that decision will be, I WILL not look back. I will look forward and know that life is an adventure. I won't have any regrets.

Happy 2010. Hope it is a good one!
